Dydropex

Dydrogesterone is an orally active, synthetic progestogen that mimics natural progesterone. It is primarily prescribed to treat conditions caused by progesterone deficiency, regulate the menstrual cycle, support early pregnancy, and manage hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Primary uses include:

  • Menstrual Disorders: Regulates irregular periods, controls abnormal uterine bleeding, and restarts menstrual cycles that have stopped (amenorrhoea).
  • Endometriosis & PMS: Helps manage pelvic pain, abnormal tissue growth, and severe symptoms of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS).
  • Infertility: Supports the uterine lining to assist with egg implantation and improve the chances of pregnancy, especially during in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and other assisted reproductive technologies (ART).
  • Miscarriage Prevention: Prescribed to prevent threatened or recurrent miscarriages in women with proven progesterone deficiency.
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT): Used alongside estrogen therapy during or after menopause to protect the uterine lining.
